Эксперимент раскрыл секрет счастливых отношений возрастных пар
Researchers from London Metropolitan University conducted a new psychological experiment and found that in couples with a noticeable age difference, it is often the older partners who remain more satisfied with their relationships.
The results were published in the scientific journal Sexual and Relationship Therapy. This effect is particularly pronounced in men who are dating younger partners.
The study involved 126 people in relationships where the age gap between partners was at least seven years. The participants filled out questionnaires about happiness in relationships, sexual satisfaction, and financial perceptions of the partnership.
It turned out that men in relationships with younger partners feel a significantly higher level of satisfaction than those with an older partner. No such pattern was found in women.
In addition, all participants, regardless of gender, more often reported a higher level of sexual satisfaction in a relationship with a younger partner. Scientists emphasize that older partners often feel confident and stable in such relationships, especially when it comes to the financial aspect.
Previously, scientists have revealed the potential harm of kissing: it turned out that the exchange of bacteria through saliva can contribute to the development of depression, anxiety, and insomnia in a healthy partner. These data are based on a study of married couples and highlight the influence of microbiota on mental health.
